Fall 2026 Coed Flag Football - 1st Grade

We are excited to announce our First Grade Flag Football clinic for fall 2026! Our third year in a row!


Join Us for an Exciting Fall Season!

When: Saturday Mornings, September 12 through October 24, 2026
Where: Rippowam Middle School Football Field
Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
We are thrilled to invite your child to join our First Grade Flag Football Program, proudly affiliated with NFL Flag! This program is designed to introduce first graders to the fundamentals of flag football in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment.

Program Highlights:
  • Skill Development: Our volunteer coaches will teach basic skills such as passing, catching, running, flag pulling, and teamwork.
  • Fun & Fitness: Kids will stay active and healthy while having a blast on the field.
  • Team Spirit: Emphasis on sportsmanship, cooperation, and building friendships.
  • Safe Play: Non-contact format ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Registration Details:
  • Sign-Up Deadline: August 15, 2026
  • Cost: $100 per child (includes a team jersey and flag belt)
Equipment Needed:
  • Sneakers. Since part of our program will take place on the track, cleats are not a requirement.
  • Mouth guard. As a part of NFL Flag rules, players are required to have a mouthpiece. These are available at sporting goods stores or at online retailers like Amazon, Target, or Walmart.

FDC Flag Football teaches young athletes sportsmanship, teamwork, physical fitness, goal setting, and confidence — all in a fun, safe, non-contact environment.

Registration Details

Deadline: Once divisions reach capacity
Cost: $225 per child
Includes team jersey, shorts, socks, and flag belt.
Division Capacity:
2nd/3rd Grade: 120 players
4th/5th Grade: 120 players
6th Grade: 60 players
Players must register for the grade they will be entering in Fall 2026. Players must live in Stamford or attend school in Stamford to participate.

Equipment Needed

Rubber-soled cleats, turf shoes, or sneakers
Mouth guard, required by NFL Flag rules

Multi-Sport Athletes

We fully support multi-sport athletes. However, to be fair to all players and maintain the integrity of the league, we ask that FDC Flag Football be treated as a priority during the season.
Please note: FDC events will not be rescheduled around other sports.
